Tutor -General Honours Oriwu College, Other Competitions’ Winners For District II

The Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Education District II, Mr. Omotayo Layemo Sanni, has hosted students who emerged winners in various academic and co-curricular competitions within and outside the District.

Leading the list of honourees were students of Oriwu Senior Model College, Ikorodu, who distinguished themselves by emerging overall winners in the AP International Women’s Day Debate Competition. The students also recorded remarkable success by clinching the Best Positions in both the Rotary Essay Writing and Quiz Competitions.

Also celebrated was Aiyedere Ajibola Senior High School, which secured the third position in the AP International Women’s Day Debate Competition, demonstrating commendable intellectual prowess among participating schools.

Similarly, students of Ojota Senior High School were recognised for their outstanding performance at the Boy Child Initiative Programme organised by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, where the school emerged first in both the Cooking Competition and the Football Competition.

While receiving the students and their teachers, Mr. Sanni commended them for bringing pride and honour to Education District II through their excellence and dedication. He encouraged them to remain focused, disciplined, and continue in striving for greater achievements.

The TG/PS also applauded the teachers and school administrators for their commitment to nurturing talents and preparing students to compete favourably in various academic and developmental platforms.

He reaffirmed the District’s commitment to promoting academic excellence and supporting initiatives that encourage creativity, leadership, and holistic development among students.
